The concert-performance “Madame Johann Strauss” is one of the lavish and beloved productions of the National Music Theater “Stefan Makedonski”. The program is dedicated to the Waltz King – Johann Strauss Jr., and includes popular arias, duets, ensembles and graceful waltzes from his masterpieces such as “The Bat” and “The Gypsy Baron”, as well as works by other composers from the Strauss family. The performance is famous for its rich scenography, costumes and virtuoso performances by the soloists, people and orchestra of the theater.
The performance is a play – a confession of love. That love that gives birth to a flame that can warm you, but also burn you. A love that gives bliss, but also requires dedication, complete surrender. Love, with its passion, shakes our inner peace and scatters it in a chaos of thoughts and feelings, but ultimately creates harmony and music. And the music that does not just fill a life, but goes beyond mortality and time, to sound eternal and sing the joy of life, the energy of love itself and creation.
