The Italian Giuseppe Verdi di Salerno Philharmonic Orchestra is coming to 2026 Summer Opera Festival “Stage of the Ages” on August 8.
The program includes prominent works from the opera and symphony heritage of Giuseppe Verdi – music that has left a lasting mark on the history of world classics.
Classical music lovers will have the opportunity to hear timeless works interpreted with authentic Italian sound and high orchestra level under the open sky of Tsarevets Hill.
The concert will be conducted by the world-renowned maestro and composer Guido Mancusi.
The soloists will be the Italian opera singer Marco Di Sapia (baritone) and the Bulgarian singer Tanya Radeva-Lazarova (soprano), who has been exclusively invited by the Italian Philharmonic Orchestra for its tour in Bulgaria.
The Giuseppe Verdi di Salerno Philharmonic Orchestra was established in 1997 and is a leading participant in all opera productions of its theatre. Bulgarian artists from the Sofia and Varna Opera and Ballet also appear on Salerno stage.
The orchestra has performed in France, Germany, Portugal, India and Japan, and now for the first time presents its mastery to the Bulgarian audience.
