On 3 August 2019 at 21:00 State Opera Ruse presents “La boheme” – an opera by Giacomo Puccini.The new production of Puccini’s masterpiece by State Opera Ruse is a touching story of love at first sight, about cordial friendship, young people’s impulses and naive dreams, dedication and sacrifice.The plot takes us high up in a Bohemian mansard under the stars of Paris, where a couple of friends, young Latin Quarter students, share their lives, aspirations and dreams.This timeless beautiful fairy tale will be retold under the direction of the famous Bulgarian opera director Georgi Simeonov – a passionate fan of the Italian opera, well versed in its traditions.Puccini’s genius music will again come to life under the baton of Sunay Muratov and the brilliant Ruse State Opera orchestra and choir. Maestro Muratov is one of the leading Bulgarian opera conductors, who proved his high professional level both here and abroad with his distinct skill, sensuality and deep insight.
