Veliko Tarnovo has the potential and traditions to become a stage for an international opera competition. Around this idea we united with the world opera prima Krassimira Stoyanova, who was born in our city. The organization of such an event takes about a year, and it would add more value to the appearance of the Old Capital as an established and modern stage for classical music, opera and ballet.
It is in Veliko Tarnovo that the first master class in Bulgaria by Krassimira Stoyanova is held, which accompanies the summer opera festival “Scene of the Centuries”. Tonight at 19.00 in MDT “Konstantin Kisimov” is the gala concert of young opera singers from Bulgaria, Austria and Northern Macedonia, participating in the class of Krassimira Stoyanova. Admission is free.
Krassimira Stoyanova is one of our most famous contemporary opera singers. Her international career has taken her to the most prestigious opera houses and concert halls around the world – Vienna, London, Milan, New York, Berlin, Munich, Salzburg, Tokyo, Buenos Aires and others. The opera prima has won a number of prestigious awards and recorded music productions with the world’s most famous orchestras.
