On 12 July 2025, the State Opera Ruse will present one of the emblematic titles from its repertoire at the “Stage of the Ages” festival – “La Traviata” by Giuseppe Verdi.
This Verdi masterpiece is not only among the most beloved operas worldwide, but it holds special significance for the people of Ruse, as the Ruse Opera was born with a production of “La Traviata” in 1949, marking the beginning of its rich and vibrant artistic life.

Today, with its new staging of “La Traviata,” the Ruse Opera celebrates its 75th anniversary, proudly placing its crown adorned with the brilliance of its soloists, chorus, ballet artists, and instrumentalists. The production successfully showcases the artistic wealth of the Ruse opera theatre.
